Blogger Spotlight (1) – Lola from Hit & Miss Books

Welcome to this new feature. Last week I introduced you to Catching up with the Neighbors. I will alternate that feature with this feature: Blogger Spotlight. As the name suggest, I will introduce you to a fun blogger that I follow! One thing that makes blogging so much fun is meeting people that share the same interests: BOOKS. For this first edition we meet Lola from Hit & Miss Books!

Lola
PERSONAL

Please introduce yourself in 5 words.
Determined, social, passionate, impulsive and creative.

What makes you unique as a blogger?
Hahaha, I think what makes me unique as a blogger is that I think too far and high when I’ve only been blogging for almost 3 months! I’m surprised I’ve got the chance to receive a printed ARC (Black Ice) by a publisher for review so early. Impulsive, told you. AND impatient we could say…

What is the biggest challenge you set for yourself and you blog?
I have many challenges to be honest. I have my reading challenges (biggest: reading 300 books this year), my NetGalley challenges (biggest: being approved by Harlequin Teen—they want a blog with at least 1000 (!!!) followers on Bloglovin or GFC or email or Twitter, etc.) and, to answer your question, my biggest blogging challenge is to daily have 300 page views. That would be amazing and would motivate me even more.

If you could pick any career, what would you want to be?
Oh my God…I first thought I wanted to be a lawyer…before I actually talked to one and he explained to me EVERYTHING a lawyer does. And it’s too much…plus stressful studies. THEN, wanted to be a vet except I discovered that I don’t like sciences in high school! Also wanted to be a teacher but I don’t like being the center of attention so had to give up on that one as well. And, finally, I’ve lately thought about becoming a librarian but I’m not sure it’s such a good thing…since I don’t want books to be what I live for, if you know what I mean, so I guess we shall see, Jirrine.

Which skill would you like to have (that you don’t already have)?
I would love to be able to run 10 kilometers without walking so I guess physical strength.

BOOK-RELATED

If you could meet any literary character right now, who would it be and why?
Magnus (The Mortal Instruments) because I want to lick his face. Grrr, he’s just…he HAS IT. I won’t be able to contain myself around him. Or maybe because I want to steal his powers? HA.

What is the worst book habit you have?
‘Currently reading’ 6 books. Sometimes even more. I can’t help myself for starting new ones when I get a bit bored from the ones I’m reading. On the latest news, I brought the number down to 5.
YES.

What is the prettiest cover you’ve ever seen?
So difficult to only pick one…Hmm…I would have to say…Ever After High: The Storybook of Legends. What can I say? I have a soft spot for princesses and fairytales.

Storybook of Legends - Shannon Hale

When you read do you see images or a movie going on inside your head?
Always. That’s why I like reading so much. I see a movie, rarely pictures. Rare are books that actually make me imagine a world-building inside my head (but Harry Potter and The Mortal Instruments series surely can.)

QUICK 5
Paperback or hardcover?
Paperback (but hardcovers are the prettiest!)
Cat or dog? I’ve always been a dog person but cats are very cute. ^^
Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings? Since I’ve only read the Harry Potter series, I would have to choose that one. (I know, I know…)
Chocolate or candy? MILK CHOCOLATE. 😉
Town or city? Town.

I really would like to thank Lola for participating! She also has an awesome new header so please go check out her blog and say hi!

Q: I am searching for people who would like to be interested to get featured in Blogger Spotlight 2, on September 3. If it sounds like fun, please leave me a comment or shoot me a tweet!
